Title says it all. I'm going on vacation soon, and I need a camera, but only want to spend around $200. What is the best way to go for point and shoot's in this price range? Any info will help.

Nikon COOLPIX is the best small/slim camera in my opinion for around $150 or less. It takes EXCELLENT pics, is easy to use, and is user friendly.

ALL cameras......

How many mega-pixel resolution are you looking for?
How much zoom do you want/need?
How compact do you want/need it to be?
Narrow it down and read a lot of online reviews.

Watch out for:

The price of extra batteries whether aftermarket or factory made (it does come with one right?)

The price of memory cards whether aftermarket or factory made (it does come with one right?)
