Have been keeping fish for some time and have some extra money from some other projects found this flowerhorn online for 70.00 good price comment thought and some breeding ideaimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

I'd say that's a pretty good price on him, did they say what his averave length is as of now? 2-3inches?

Oh okay, small KOK for a 5-6 inch flowerhorn but i guess that's why it's at such a steal price. I would say if you're going for a high quality flowerhorn you're going to need to spend a little more. But in my opinion, the one above is a nice fish

Nice pick up for that price. He has some good qualities there (double row, head, color, finage is decent). I would give him daily 15min. mirror time to boost his head more. He is just right at the size to start blooming.

As for breeding, best to research here in the forums or google on what are traits (pearls, finage, head, color) you want on the frys to have first before you make the jump to breeding. A 55gal or a 75 gal tank divided with a plexi glass between would be a good start once you find a mate for your male FH so they can get use to each other. Good luck in your breeding if you decide to make that jump.
