Hes asking £40 with free delivery but hes round the corner so ill ask if he'll take £30 and i collect.
depends how clued up he is, or he may be looking for a good home over profit, in which case he may go for your 30 quid offer (which is a low price - I paid 17 for a small one about 4" long from warrington earlier this year, which is the 'going rate' so I'm told)
