Was at my lfs yesterday and i couldn't believe it but they had some pbass.......there was about 10 of em in there all about 2inches for $9.99........is that a good price or no?

decent deal, a lfs will range from 5$-25$ just depends on where your at,... what sp. are they

i think they were cichla ocellaris......but im not positive......i might have to run back over and check...........but i thought it was a pretty good deal.........was size tank do they need permanetly? i know they get huge.....i am getting a 120gal. in a July and am really interested in them......i don't think that will hold them permanetly but it will for a little while if they are at 2 inches...........

the longest they will last in a 120 is a year and that would be pushing it. P-bass are a large robust and fast fish that eat a ton and need alot of room. For life a minimum size for a pair is a 300 gal (8'x30" footprint) Ideally you would have something at least 4' wide. Im going to move mine (~6") from a 6x2x1 tank to a 7x2x2 tank. Once they hit the 16" mark I am probably going to sell them, because I will not be able to get a bigger tank:(

ya they get big. i would get some thats a decent price. get some before they sell them

That's what I paid for the 3 of mine. Not the best deal, but could be worse. I'd say it's decent/

yea thats what i was thinking about doing.....because i NEVER see them around here.......so i figured i could have em in the 120 till they get to big and give em to a good home...........

a 2 inch, how long does it grow to 10 inches?
and what do you feed when that small?
is market shrimp ok?
also how strong are they at that size?

sorry for all thsoe questions.
have a chance to buy them at that size too but need to know more though.

2 - 10 inches can be anywhere from 6-7 to a year unless u load them with food 3 times a day which should only be done when they are under 4-5 inches thern they will grow faster
