Good price?

My LFS has a payara for $40, good deal or bad? It's about 3".

The price sounds Hydrolycus Scomberoides - very difficult fish to keep for any real length of time, actually most aren't - most have had more success long term w/ Aramatus and Tatauia if it's either of these 2 it's a bargin - Scomb's if it's worth $40 to you. I'm not sure what the going price is for Rhaphiodon's but $40 sounds reasonable to me for Biara's.

I got my 8" Scomb for $45 so that's a terrible price.

Only seen one Tat where I live and never an Armatus so Scomb's are pretty dang common.

I would say that is a little on the pricey side then, but if it is a good looking specimen......maybe.

Good deal in my area..... Armatus go for around 150 at 2'' down here at my job.
