good price?

my lfs is haveing a special. i can get a 55gal. tank w/ stand and canopy for 289$.
is this a good price?

also, do canpies conceal the hood or are they the hood?

Personally I've seen better deals but thats an OK price. Does it come with a filter or other items? Not too sure how canopies work.

Sometimes glass lids are called a canopy, you have to ask.

If it has glass tops and a matching canopy I would say that is worth the dough. What about lights?

It's a good price if the tank is Acrylic.

I bought a 100 gallon acrylic, with stand and canopy(not a glass top), plus wet and dry system, for only $100.00. It was slightly used. I take it you don't like used tanks? You might want to check local ads to see if there is something worth waiting for. But, if you can't wait...buy it and enjoy it!

THat depends on specifically what you are getting; Define canopy? Is it a glass lid or a wood enclosure for the top? What about lights? What series stand is it? Kick out/ iron angle/, etc?)

If the deal is similar to this than I'd say it's a pretty good but if it's a lousy stand or something, might not be so geat. All glass will be running specials now that we are getting close to the holidays, you'll see some prett good deals over the next few months.

I believe that, this is my regular every day price. When All Glass or one of my distrubutors runs specials, we sell them for less.

My point was, not knowing specifically what is included for that price, (brand name, series of cabinet etc... ) tHe question can not be accuratly answered.
