Good scavenger fish with cichla?

I've been trying to decide on something that I can add to my tank that can help out on scavenging duty. I've been thinking a catfish would be the way to go but I don't want some lame run of the mill cat. Anybody got any cool suggestions? Doesn't have to be a catfish necessarily either...

I would have to say a really nice Tiger Shovel Nose! But I think an Endi pit would get the result's your looking for and take care of your need's.

I have geos for my cleanup crew.

With my cichla i have tin foil barbs/geos/loaches.....there is never any left over food.

Endies,loaches,smaller cats such as Juruense,Tigs,Fei Feng, Larger Geos are a great choice too.

Well as for my setup I've got gravel and I don't know that geos would do that well with it...
Endi=Endlicheri bichir correct? Not really in the position to drop the $ for a tig right now although that would be sweet.

Yup...endi's as in bichirs. Great clean up crew when in packs.
