good semi aggressive cichlids

what are some of the good semi-aggressive cichlids? well, i know it depends from fish to fish, like ive had convicts that wouldnt hurt small fish and ones that try to kill larger fish, but in general semi aggressive? i dont mind if they fight, but i dont want to loose fish to homicidal fish.

and about breeding dempseys, its not going to happen anymore, because the female was mauled by the male while i was sleeping.

Good semi aggressives are Nics, Severum, Acaras, and most of the Vieja species. A really great fish that is mega colorful is the Melanuram. Tops out at about 6" and is really cool. Rivals a salt water fish with its stunning colors. Have had one and loved it.

is a carpintis semi agressive? and do they grow fast?

Cryptoheros sp. "Honduran Red Point". Similiar to Convicts, but not as aggressive.
