The "plague" wiped my tank. Lost my Beautiful Salvini and Female Jag. (No they weren't full grown Salv eventually would have got it's own tank). What SINGLE showcase/wetpet cichlid should I try? Don't want a flowerhorn or Oscar though. Im looking for something Colorful and grows semi to very fast. Im iffy about a red devil or Midas they are beasts but the plain orange ones don't have the coloration Im looking for. I was thinking along the lines of something like a Carpintis or Green Terror but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance

I think would be ok. I've never seen one over 12". Green terrors grow so slow. Have fun with that lol.

Carpintis are beautiful fish man! That would my choice. How about a female festae or a mayan cichlid?

I had a female mayan in a 90 alone and she was an absolute beast, tried to eat me through the glass and killed anything I put her with. No the most colorful fish but she still looked good.

I would have to second Carpintis. but we all know the best single wet pet for a 75g thats colorful and interactive would be a FH ;)

Have you considered Paratilapia poleni too, absolutely stunning fish

My 75 Gallon is home to my red devil that's turning white and he looks awesome. Not just a plain orange but a blend of white and orange. When they are juveniles you can see some with spots of white and usually they will peal more as they mature. Here's a look a my beautiful male! Also another interesting fish that I think would be okay in a 75 is N. Grammodes cichlid....aka the mini dovii! Same attitude as a dovii but maxing at around 8 inches! They are becoming very common in my area!

The only issue is some of these fish are VERY hard to find in my area took me months to find my Salvini and Jag. I don't even know if I can find a Carpintis but I have seen them before. I think I have my mind set on Either a Carpintis or Jack Dempsey Just can't decide which one looks better.

A GT or a Texas would look great in a 75. But more importantly is what "plague" killed your previous fish?
