i have read up what i can on Motoras and cant seam to find a disk size that ever one can agree on close to any way

Depends on sex, and what type? A good reference Is The sticky about rays profile. Ideal tank size is as wide as possible but really minimum long term is 5 by 2

was thinking a flower or p13 but really cant find much on them the tank i have in mind is 120x36x24

Don't get a flower they grow huge and are prone to dying. That size would be good for some leopldi it motoro.

Ur footprint is alright for p14 but they can be finicky eaters apparently. If these are your first rays get captive bred leopldi or motoro

I previously kept motoro and I am just about to buy a pair of hystrix. 18 inch plus however it states your tank is big enough. Is it 36 inches wide?

what size do they hit and have you owned any rays

yeas its a plan in the making well to move first but thats the space i would give to it maybe more. do you think i could keep a lima shovel nose with a pair

Probably. Depending on the size of they rays the Lima may be eaten. Get the rays first let them settle them add Lima. Make sure the rays are Lima are eating well before introducing them to each other

was just thinking them as a tank mate they are so standoffish and just try and hide from my experience
i would think the same for a arowana
