I'm ready to purchase a snakehead for my new tank, everything is set up, but this is my first time keeping these fish. Which species is the best for a snakehead newbie?

Weeeeellll.... You're in America so you can't have snakeheads. Since you're a brand new n00b, I don't expect you to know this. However, solicitations of illegal species is something that we, the staff of this site, take seriously. Ignorance is no excuse. There are Federal fish and wildlife officers who patrol this site. People have been busted off of this site. FWC has used threads here to help make a case against banning the keeping of Wels catfish.
If you really are a noob and this is a noob question, keep that in mind. Most noob questions are tolerated here, but solicitations of illegal species are not tolerated and indeed, are against the Terms of Service that you agreed to when you joined.
