What is a good staple pellet to feed my bichirs?

I've heard Hikari sinking carnivore pellets are good, but they're expensive! $50 for 2.2 lbs.

Is there an alternative that's just as good but cheaper?

I was ordering from kensfish and was thinking maybe his PREMIUM SINKING PELLETS WITH BRINE SHRIMP might be good, but I figured I'd ask what you guys use first.

I would be feeding other things such as shrimp, bloodworms and earthworms in addition to the pellets.

I've used kensfish brine shrimp pellets and my bichirs liked them and I used them as staple until I ran out. I've also used the premium slow sinking growth pellets for the smaller bichirs and I got some good growth results from it. They're a little bit too small for larger bichirs though so now I use it to feed my clown loaches and my clowns have grown a lot since then. Another good pellet is new life spectrum. You can order those at kensfish also.

I use sinking JMC carnivore pellets. They work well as a staple and are readily accepted.

I treat with earthworms.
They also get frozen brineshrimp and bloodworm, sometimes live bloodworm.

omega ones pellets are the most readily accepted.

Mine get Hikari sinking carnivore pellets and Omega one shrimp pellets as a staple.
