I need someone to help me before i go crazy with my tanks water its a 55g with a flowerhorn jackdempsey and small jag. So basically my water gets cloudy as hell and im sick of spending my money to buy different clarifiers etc. Ive spent AT LEAST $120 on different water clarifiers and over time NONE have even put a dent into the cloudiness and ive done 50% water changes at least twice a week so any suggestions, help would be highly appreciated thanks for your time.

I believe your tank its to small for those fish. How you filter the tank?
Also have you cycle your tank? don't expend money on chemicals your fish its going to be sick, maybe buy bigger filter with that money.

my fish are too big? ur crazy they'll eventually out grow the tank which won't be anytime soon and i have an aquaclear 110 which i dont get isnt keeping it clear when i clean the poop off the sand every night

Sounds like you just need better filtration man. What are you currently using?

Edit: sorry posted this as you were responding with the info I was asking for

I would buy another aquaclear 110 at least. But a canister would be better as the added BB would really help things out, maybe you could try filling one of the sides media compartment with carbon it might help cloudiness. But the root cause is inadequate filtration.

i would buy another AC110 but i dont see any point in it because my friend is giving me his fluval 405 in a month......i was thinking about getting this bottle of water cycle help or something like that since my tank has only been set up for 2 weeks but i see how it takes 2 weeks to cycle when it was crystal clear last week then went super cloudy the next morning when i woke up so idk im lost lol

That water cycle help doesn't work it claims to contain live BB but in reality it's all dead as it needs O2 to survive for any period of time so don't waste your money. Whats happening in your tank is a BB bloom so it's actually a good thing, it means your tank is cycling properly just keep up on the water changes. That fluval will work great on there I use hob filters just for extra filtration and I really don't think you can have TO much filtration unless you have very water flow sensitive fish. If you really want it to clear up water changes and added carbon are your best bet

Well that's the problem, you didn't cycle properly, you're experiencing bacterial blooms due to all the ammonia in the water.

Use Stability, by Seachem. It'll cut down the cycling time to about a week. Use Prime in conjunction, to render ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate nontoxic to the fish while the tank cycles.

Prime only detoxifies up to 1ppm of ammonia. You will want to test your water and do water changes to get the toxins down to manageable levels so the Prime really works.
