i had a great day today because i finally got some plants for my gar tank and it got me thinking. The only thing that could make this tank better would be another fish. so any ideas??? (in the tank there is a 5" aligator gar, a koi, and a turtle)

if it's your gator it should be fine with anything it cannot eat easily so taller, bulkier fish would work well, do you prefer natives, coldwater, warm water etc...
it is a true alligator gar and is exactly 5". i was thinking of getting something about the same size that could grow alongside it??
are you keeping it in a tank or pond when it gets bigger? if it's a pond it may be difficult to keep exotic species as tankmates
