good uk aquariums

looking for somthing to do tomorow or sun and wondered if there are any good aquariums near me
would prefer one around the sheffield area but will travel a couple of hours

would also like to look at freshwater fish/displays rarther than saltwater

Hi buddy,do you mean public aquariums or shops? Wharf is not far from you or if you mean something like a sealife centre the birmingham one is pretty good..

try maidenhead aquatics. they have 1 everywhere

its probably a fair old trip for you but hunstanton sealife sanctuary is pretty good with huge displays with red tail cats and pacu in as an example.

thank all was thinkin public aquariums with fish you can look at but not buy lol a day round shops would get very expensive!

have actualy just got back from wharf, only went to look round and ended up with a new striped gar(pike charasin) some platinum tetras(about 1/4" MFK midget fish keeper lol) and some corys

so realy need someware i can look but not buy lol

gonna check out some of those suggestions online now cheers

P.s. why are there loads of sealife centers/aquariums when freshwater fish exibits must be cheeper to run (no salt, skimmers etc) and freshwater fish are sooooo much better?
