Hey guys, so what good veggies have you fed your plecos? I know the regular good food for them but are there other good veggies that aren't often recommended? I ask because my Grandpa has a huge garden and usually has too much to eat, I was wondering if I would be able to give any of it to my gibby. Generally he has swiss chard, beet greens, carrots, cucumber, squash, beans, peas, corn, a ton of types of lettuce and a bunch of other stuff. Is any of this okay to feed to plecos?

Are there any rules as to what veggies are good or bad for plecos? Am I looking for any kinds with particular vitamins? Any help would be appreciated.

I would not stick beets in your tank. Try the lettuce, green beans are good squash, cucumbers and zucchini, cantaloupe are good ones too. The ones I listed are all ones I have used. Ones like beets and corn and peas get a little messy. Not to mention beets will dye your water and whatever they sit on.
