Where do you guys go to gets species info on cichlids?

I would just google the fish... but that is shady. I have seen some stupid **** googled (for example, I went to a website that said firemouths are an extremely aggressive fish...).

So.. what are some good websites?

well any forum where the people know what there talking about is good, i found cichlids.com to be somewhat helpful, though because most of the info came from many authors, i found somethings contradicting, and other things to some degree false. But in general this forum, is good, as with other forums completly dedicated to the subject. if you look around you'll find tons of cichlid forums, but stay away from the newer ones, or those run by novices.

Oh I don't mean forums. This is the best fish forum I have found by far. I just means sites where I could go and find the basic info on the fish I am interested in so I don't have to make a boring dumb topic asking **** like

"how big does a male GT get and how do you tell the difference between male and female"

well i find, that after i have found a website, i use my current amount of knowledge on the subject to judge how accurate there information really is. overall in general it's an easy process when you have a large amount of knowledge in th field. If i find any accuarate ones i'll let you know.

try scientist Juan Miguel Artigas Azas site for very accurate info
cichlidae.com
or if you really are truely dedicated join
the American Cichlid Association site, "cichlid.org"
