Well.. tonight is the last night he will be in my care, tomorrow he'll be going to the "fjärilshuset, in translation - the house of butterflies" they have a 20 000 gallon predatory pond were I hope he can live out the rest of his life. He was a rescue to start with and now I have finally found a place for him.. glad as I am it's still with a bitter taste..

and I couldn't help sneaking in a couple of pics of my WC yellow endli and his regular coloured friend..

also a quick pic of a very rare spiny eel called borneo python giant eel for kolossus.

Thats really good news mate, as gutted as you must be atleast he will live out his days in glory, i too have just rescued a redtail, hes in pretty bad shape, looking wise ok except for gill curl, a crying shame, but iam on the case trying to find him a new large home, wont be easy, i knew someone with two large trop ponds but they want no more redtails, so will perserve, he was/is a stunner as are the others

thanks nelly, I saw the pics mate.. some real bad case of gill curl on that poor thing.. great to see he got to a good home.. given some responsible feeding and healing period you are not that much of a hurry finding a new home.. hats of for the rescue anyhow..

Thank you sir, Not in a hurry but he is only in a 5/2/2 which is not good for ever, but hes bout 10inch now so might last a few months, hope he wont pick on my fish i aleady have...

unfortunately he is probably in a larger tank now than what most rtc's die in.. :/ I'm sure you'll work it out..

I know how you feel, watching him go to his new home. I foster dogs and cats, and though I am always happy to find them a home, I usually tear up a little, or before they go, I talk to them.

Think of it this way, he's going to a great place, much better than what most will ever get. Now you can make plans for another rescue and continue the cycle if you wish.

good luck to Hector in his move.. he is awesome

great tank there and that RTC is huuuge
