I have been contemplating whether or not to part out with my Pleco's and well pretty much leaving the hobby. Reason why is because I am falling behind way to often on WC's so I may be out of this hobby soon or almost completely out. There is only one Pleco I know I don't wanna part with. I keep going back and forth on if I should get out or not but its leaning more to the leaving side at this time.

Just needed to get my thoughts out there cause they have been bothering me for awhile now.

part with the fish you can bare to, minimize the amount of time you need to spend on the hobby by reducing stock and tanks, and see if you still feel the same after that. I go through the same motions all the time when I had just 1 to many tanks haha, but I cut back on stock and the amount of tanks I have running and I get back into it again.

I would take a break and see if I have the urge to go back, I would also reduce my stock or change stock that won't need a lot of cares so my fishes won't suffer with my busy schedule :)

I got down to 1 tank. I unloaded as much stock as i could. And I got my sump setup to where it takes 10 mins once a week to maintain. One big wc a month to keep nitrates under control. Life is much easier now. I honestly contemplated taking a break but now I am so glad i didn't.

Yea I was thinking of doing a over the tank sump for easy filter maintenance but haven't been able to get around to making one. I use a canister filter on my tanks and there way to time consuming. I will most likely down size dramatically.

I would cut down on feeding which would help out some with the lack of cleaning. As the others have said go down to just one tank. Just to keep the hobby on life support. Maybe later you might get interested again.

Already cut back on feeding but with Panaque's there is always allot of waste. I am planning on keeping just one tank for now.
