I finally got a group of Goodea atripinnis aka Blackfin Goodeid and are livebearing. I will set up the pictures in here after the goodeids have settled down in hospital tank (for check out their health before add them to the 30gal tank). I got two pair and six youngester. They look like so freshwater shark!:grinno:

Heres the pictures of these Blackfin Goodea, sorry my tank glass has some dried water drips on it.

I guess nobody in here like these goodea?

I've never seen that one. What is the native range?

Cool little guys.

This is most widespreading goodeid species as all livebearing goodeid species live in Mexico, despited being desert fish, they are actually coolwater fish (wont do well at high temperatures). And they are far common in the wild, unlike other goodeids that went extinct or become endangered in the wild. The juvies are piece of cake as they are trained to take green flakes but adults' little picky...thankfully they love green wafers. I sucks at keeping any plants alive except duckweed and java moss.

thats an interesting species, not something seen too often
Thank you, this goodeid are not in high demand for serious goodeid breeders as most breeders focus on colorful or endangered species as blackfin goodea are not on threatened species list so they dont have to worry about this species...They will goes into 40gal tank when the cycle is finished and trying to figured out what other tankmates can go with blackfin goodea.

Nice mini monsters!
Thank you, they do look like mini monster and you should see their mouth! Cant wait to get my first batch of fry from them. Theres older fry with them also and are getting sexable. Whats best thing is I can leave newborn fry with these adults in same tank as long as I feed the adults very well.
