This has been asked countless times and I hate to be the one asking it again, but I can't put my finger on the proper ID on these Goonch. Not sure if they're B. Bagarius or B. Yarrelli? Please help me out? Thanks mfk community

Do you have one fish or two? The one in the first pic looks like what we normally call "Bagarius bagarius", not sure about the one in the second shot, though.

Not mine yet, will be attempting to get one or both of these guys by mid next week. Just was curious what species they were before purchasing:)

I agree, Rob. There is quite a distinct difference between the 2. I was also referring to the first one.

What do you guys think? Should I get one or both of them? And don't worry about long term, I have a friend that already called dibs for them in his 600g when they out grow my tanks:)

The one in the second shot could go either way. I generally like to look at them in a side profile to try to ID the fish, can't really do that with the second one.

Yeah, I apologize for that. I sat there for 45min waiting for the second one to turn for me, but it just moved back further. Haha
