Hey guys, went to a lfs today and saw they had 3 young goonch labeled as B. yarelli. Are they actually B. yarelli? Chicxulub

I think it could possibly be Bagarius rutilus

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that. In a couple weeks I am planning to pick one up, once I free up my qt tank. They are already eating frozen too. What temp is optimal for rutilus? and growth rate?

Very slow growth, half inch or so a month would be considered very good. They are from tropical waters, so 78-80 should be good. Goonch have a habit of just dying randomly, so ymmv.
