Question is...
does this look like a heater burn?
Net scrapings?
Tank mate caused injury?
Caused from a 2.5' drop to the floor?
Not sure what it is. I moved it the other day to this new tank.(well established filter added). When I moved it I didn't want it to get stuck in the net and it was and has been calm when I moved it before. Like I have done with a lot of bigger catfish(when I have nothing available to put them in) I hand move them to avoid issues. This time it slipped out right before I got it into the tank, It hit the floor. It landed level on it's belly I picked it up and put it in the tank, and it didn't freak out or anything. It ate since then and is acting normal. I took a pic right away and it didn't seem to have this mark on the tail.
The only tank mate it has is a 4" redtail shark that is food unless it gets sold first. It annoyed me by attacking almost anything I put it with unless it was quite a bit bigger then the shark. In those cases the shark left it alone. It hides behind the filter at all times. Even after lights out. Could it be nibbling on the goonch's tail?
Water is 80f perams read ammo-0, nitrites-0, nitrates- <5ppm.
I know I am likely overreacting and over think in it. I just know goonches can be hypersensitive. As it is otherwise healthy and was aggressive toward an old tank mate over the "best log". (Thus the move)
Thoughts would be appreciated.
