Mine at 3 years was easily 16". Gave pair to a friend and they were dead within a week...but I have no doubt they were still growing. I can't prove it but the male was a 20"+ fish potential.
My male was funny. At 8" I put in a 375gal aquarium and he hid for a year. Would not come out and only ate enough not to die. Female was cool but I decided to put pair in 180 and the male doubled in length and tripled is weight within a year. That's why I transferred to my friends house because my big tank was stocked by then and this dude was growing fast.
