Got a 150 gal, problem with water temp.

Last week i went and got a 150 gallon tank from a guy and he sold me the entire set up fish and all. he had 2 200W heaters in it and i removed one since i felt the water was too hot when i picked everything up. i have the heater turned down and the water temps are 90-93. there are 3 small light on it too. if i turn the heater off water temps go to 75. any ideas. i will get some pics up as soon as i can.

sounds like a faulty heater, and you took the one that works out, try replacing the heater in the tank with the one you took out and the water ought to be alright (unless both heaters are faulty)
