I recently bought a 220g freshwater tank, I used to have fish all the time but got out of the hobby. Now that I'm back into the hobby I don't know what to get lol. The tank came with a few fish, a 9" ID shark a 6" female flowerhorn and a 6" normal pleco. It's been up and running for about a month since I moved it into my house and so far all I've put in it is a small albino oscar, 3 small angel fish, and 6 giant dainos (which I'm quickly finding very annoying). Basically I was looking for suggestions on something really cool to put in there, I'm already considering a clown knife I've always liked them but never had the space before. But yeah any suggestions are welcome and yes I know the ID shark is gonna get huge really wish I could find a new home for him :(

Sounds like you got nice mix , Angel may struggle later . Dont make the mistake i did and pair all my fish as then you need more tanks as they breed get agressive and need more space !!!!!! i would go red teror if i had anymore space stunning cichlid

i see conflict between the pleco and the flowerhorn

yeah the flowerhorn does pick on the pleco sometimes but leaves him be for the most part, they both came with the tank though so not much I could do

A clown knife would be cool, but they might eat your danios. And I don't have any experience with them either, so there might be some other possible conflicts.

I don't know about the flowerhorn either. Never the kind of fish that struck me as compatible with anything other than larger cichlids.

Just so you know, no matter what you buy you very well may end up with just a flowerhorn in that tank. They aren't exactly known to play well with others.

Also, welcome to MFK!!!

Yeah honestly the danios were just an impulse buy, I got them for a buck a piece so if they get eaten I won't be overly upset lol.

Thanks for the welcome!!! I've been trying to provide my fish with lots of hiding spots, so far it seems to be working the only fish I've ever seen the flowerhorn bother is the pleco but thanks for the heads up honestly I haven't had fish in so long that I didn't even know what a flowerhorn was until after I got the tank (I got it used and it was a deal so I really didn't care what was in it tbh).
