Hey everyone! This is my plan (tell me if it will work or not):

2 RBP's in a 20gallon until they r about 4-5-6"

Move them into a 55 gallon or so.

What do you think? If I have to, I could just get one but I'd much rather get two!!

Thanks guys

not a good plan at all!... for one, 2 5-6" reds in a 20g?? cmon man- thats torture... and secondly like mentioned above two is a bad number... your better off getting 3 or even (maybe) 4 in that 55g BUT then again I dont like 55g either with them being only 12" wide... reds can get up to 12" or even bigger so it doesnt make much sense... a 75g would be best and then you could probably do 5-

I say wait until you can get bigger tank for them..you can get piranha any time. just give them a good home first.

get a 75gallon with 3-4 piranha with that size. but the bigger tank the better.

the plan are not good.

20 Gallon????

no.

If they are small piranha then go for it. I would do maybe five small ones in a 20. Then move them to a 55. Welcome to MFK.

Definitely not. A 20 gallon? Maybe until the trio are 3 inches. 5 piranhas? no way. Like others have said, a trio in a 55 is already pushing it.

dont do it!...if you put 5 in there you not just stunt the grow but you stressing the piranha.

You can not out grow piranha t o 4,5 ,6" in 20gallon, there is not way. Before that they will kill each other.

Like I said save up some money and get the biggest tank you can get for them(not 20gallon) and then buy the piranha. Here is a list that I WOULD PUT.

30gallon 1 small to medium red.
55gallon 3 small to medium red.
75-90gallon 3-4 adult
100-150gallon 4-5 full grown adult
180-300gallon 7-8 full grown.

these is just me...with this numbers I also give them the room to swim, space for territerial, plants, wood and decoration.
