Alright, my Sav has now settled in and is doing all the things he should be doing like bouncing around his tank going after crickets, but I do have a few questions to ask of others who had/have baby Savs. First off I have a question about what I should use as elevated basking spots if at all, I have two pieces of grapewood in his tank for him to bask on with the one directly under the basking light getting to around 150 degrees, but I have found that he doesn't climb the wood at all. Instead he prefers to climb on a flat angled rock instead and ignores the wood. Is this normal. Also he likes to bask on the ground more it seems, I have some rocks around his water dish and a large stone, and most of the time he just stretches out on them or lies in his water. Some others mentioned to give him multiple hides instead of one, and so I did but he has also dug borrows underneath his rocks and prefers those which is understandable. As to diet, he is eating 5-6 crickets a day, but refuses to eat anything else. Is this normal?
