Got a free pleco.

I went to my new favorite LFS yesterday to pick up some brine shrimp. While I was waiting I was admiring the 10"+ eyeless pleco in the show tank. The managers says, "you like him? He's yours". Then packed him up. He is already right at home in the 125 growout. I believe it to be just a common Gibbi, but cool none the less.

Actually, one eyes is clouded and black, the other is just a socket.
I don't know any of the backround as to why he is is blind. LFS Manager said he was a donation. You know, "I didn't realize they get that big."

He is definitely blind though, which is kind of nice because he is out in plain sight all of the time. When I dropped him in the tank, he swam straight into a rock. lol. But now he seems right at home. I just need to get a few more wafers for him to munch on. I am running low. Once I get some bigger fish in the tank, there will be plenty of other food for him.(Leftovers) I will try and get some pics tonight and post them up. He is a little beat up in a couple of spots, but what do you expect when he can't see to defend himself.

Aw, poor thing. I'm glad you took him. I need a common plec like I need a hole in the head but I'd have taken him, too. There's always room somewhere here for a handicapped fish
