LFS got two of these guys recently so I had to get one, been trying to find one forever. Here are a couple in the bag pics and one right after he got dropped in...

Little guy maybe 3-4"... Cost me $43 big ones but that is alright, they aren't exactly common.

looked it up gets up to 2ft, idk if he will do good with a 8" inch RTC?
I think they can actually get to 30-36", I wanted one for a while until I found out it would outgrow my 220g. And it should be fine with the RTC as long as the RTC doesn't outgrow it (I'm not sure of giraffe cats' growth rates), Wet Whiskers (another mfker) has a giraffe cat with her rtc, tsn, and hybrid.

The RTC may out compete it for food and would likely grow much faster. So you'd need to get a larger Giraffe or grow it out in another tank some. That is what I am doing as I know my Niger cat @ 12" would get all the food before this guy. So I am growing him out before adding to the big tank.

wow he looks awesome your so lucky i always wanted one

Thanks, I have been waiting a while. I asked the LFS to order some and the next week there they were. It was as easy as asking.

Yup, I have seen videos of a 30" Giraffe in a 8'x4' tank on YouTube.

I am guessing it will take a while to hit 2', at least years. I don't think these grow as fast as RTC or Niger cats. Which in my experience grow like an inch per week for a while...

Either way he'll be good to turn around in my pond once it's done, the big area is 4' wide. :)
