Got this guy at the lfs yesterday ive been looking for a bigger poly in the uk for a while and i got this 14" guy yesterday, sorry about the quality of the photo.

Awsome! I got one about a month ago and it has turned into my favorite Poly.

If your after bigger polys then call amwell aquatics http://www.amwellaquatics.co.uk/ and ask for marcus. He's the manager and has helped me out when i've wanted fish that we're bigger.
I also bought some fish from him that were £9 each and he did 6 for £30 which i thought wasn't bad.

Oh and only £10 delivery charge aswell...

Thanks for all the comments guys i love the head shape on them, its already eaten my smallest CL but i forgive it:D fortunatley all my other cl's are over 6" but this little guy was only 3".

the Nigerian lapradei is the 'standard' lapradei, meaning if you read a description of the species, it's describing the Nigerian kind.

There are really only two places where lapradei are exported from, Nigeria and Guinea, and the Guinea ones have very different patterns and arrive on the hobby scene much later. In some sense, the Guinea ones haven't really been 'described', since as i mentioned the description was only for the Nigerian kind, and back then the Guinea ones were not known.

Anyway, what you have there is the Nigerian kind.
