He was marked "Pictus",but was twice the size of the other cats in the tank.He resembles a 4-line cat,but he has 2-3 white stripes running down the length of his body(my digi camera is being some time this week)He is about 3 inches has really long whiskers and is super hyper, plus he eats like a pig!!!Wich leads me to believe he may be a future Monster!!!But the clerk said Pictus do not get very big,but i dont believe this guy is a pictus.

It probably is there are many types of pictus. It could be a 4 lined pictus they are good eaters and get around 6 inches.

The pattern I notice has a lot to do with it. Mine do have a very good line running down the middle and I lean more towards they are Pimelodus albofasciatus

They are pigs and they are very active. Mine only come out when the tank is dark now.

These pims can be so close looking. I myself am not sure if mine are Pimelodus albofasciatus or Pimelodus blochii but I know it is not Pimelodus maculatus http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=312

Pimelodus blochii

Pimelodus blochii pic ..... as a baby mine was darker and more gold in color.
