I actually found this girl at the Humane Society.

Purebred Bi-Color German Shepherd.

She's 5 months old.
I've already taught her Sit, Down, Stay, and Come. I've even got her housetrained and crate trained already.
Dang these Shepherds learn fast.

I was hesitant to get a puppy with my son being so young still.
But with some training on who is pack leader, she is very gentle with him.
She walks right next to me with slack in the leash while the stroller is out front.


Here's a couple pictures of her.

Her name is Gretchen.

I guess that just goes to show what you can find at the shelter without more breeding.

Very nice dog! The herding breeds are amazingly smart. I got an Aussie over the summer and she is by far the smartest dog I've had
 
She is gorgeous.. and i am proud of you both for the awesome transition.. you have her trained .. {i was wondering what you were up to} :D:D:DHer fur is so lush... she has beautiful markings.. yes you picked a great dog...

Great dog! It is possible to adopt a high quality dog. I got a yellow lab from the Humane Society. He was just certified as a therapy dog this past weekend. I will be able to take him to my classroom.
