Just picked up my second FH.... first one was the 6 inch KML x RD mix. This one is about 4 inches and I "think" he's all RD? What do you think? Red Dragon.JPG

What size tank do you keep em in?

Nice pickup. Good looking fish. Looks like a RD to me. How much was he?

Thanks! The RD is sharing a 125 with a few other cichlids about the same size (Oscars, Parrots, Texas) but with a divider of course. The larger one is in a 72 all by himself. I'm thinking about eventually splitting the 125 into 2 halves for the 2 FHs and then I'm going to transfer the O's to the 72. Then, hopefully in about a year or so I'll be in the market for a 8x4x2.

nice rd

Here's a couple of updated pics of the 2 of my guys... The first few are of my new 4 inch RD in his new home. Some of the pics show the freaky-deaky female texas that seems to be especially attracted to Flowerhorns. There's also a shot of my JD wanting a piece of the new kid on the block. The latter pics show my hybrid FH hybrid about 4 weeks after I bought him. I'm not sure if he's any longer but I can tell he's a tad wider.

It's been about three months now and here are some updated pics of my two... The larger one is probably about 9 inches long right now while the SRD is about 5-6ish? The bigger one seems to have the temperament suitable for a community tank... oddly enough, I have him in my 125 with my Oscars and parrots and they seem to be buddies? Hopefully that lasts... eventually they will be upgraded to a 220. The SRD is just a nasty fish and can't tolerate anything near him... even my hand. I'm temporarily keeping a 12 inch fader and at one point I had them in a tank with a divider. Despite the size difference the SRD was relentless to break through the egg crates.
