I have never heard of Botia dario being called tiger loach. As far as I know, they are labeled even by their suppliers as queen loach or Bengal loach. Both the Syncrossus helodes and Syncrossus hymenophysa are the most commonly available of all tiger loaches albeit the Syncrossus genus only. My money is on the helodes. It has been sold far more than the hymenophysa.le patron;2617418; said:there are a lot of tiger loaches. a couple of possibilities could be Botia hymenophysa or Botia dario
