Got a new snake!

I finally got rid of my moody kingsnake which I did not like one bit and I got a snake that I have been wanting for a while. I got a juvi ball python. He is probably around 20" give or take. I almost bought a small like 10" ATB instead but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I just don't think I am ready for that type of snake yet. But I got myself a nice ball python instead. He is really sweet and eats good. Even trade for my king. Here are some pics. Any tips, suggestions, and or stories please share. They are just some crappy phone pics for now.

Probably a good choice... if you thought your kingsnake is moody I'm not a ATB would be great for you. Nice little royal.
 
Well I totally understood that a ATB was a look don't touch. I would have known that it was just like with my kingsnake they aren't really supposed to be moody so it was a shocker. Thank you

I know with some snakes putting them in a real big enclosure when they are small is not good for them but would anybody see a problem putting my snake in a 55? That wouldn't like be too big would it? He is decent size

Well he is in a 29 for now and I guess he will stay there then. He just seems so much bigger than my king even though he isn't. I just feel like a am cramping him. BTW I keep saying him...how do you tell the sex?

Oh and anyone know how to install a dimmer on a heat lamp?
