hey guy's... i have two oscar's, 1 jag , and two catfish in a 90 gallon tank! i was thinking about putting 2 peacock bass in there just to add some flavor to the tank im well aware of the size they get and thought it would inspire me to either build a pond or a plywood tank faster could the peacock's and the oscars get along or am i looking for trouble! the oscar's are about 6 1/2 inches and the jag is about 5 but very soft tempered( wimp) i love the cichla fish and would love to add it to my collection just looking for input

thank's in advance.....

Unless you plan on building this tank/pond in the next month, then i would say no, unless you upgrade your filter to 5 times p/h and do water changes every 3 days i wouldnt advice it, jags, oscars and cichla are all messy eaters, and for your oscars not to pic on the new cichla they would have to be of simular size, thus making a hell of alot of mess, imo get the pond/ply tank then the cichlia, jus tmy 2 cents

ok thank's rust what would you reckamend fliter wise and maybefish wise besid a cichla

When mixing cichla with aggressive fish I always introduce the cichla first. Most of my more aggressive fish tend to ignore my cichla.
I would first get a larger tank-90 gallons is too small for a jag and two oscars let alone other fish. BTW-what type of catfish do you have? If you upgrade to a considerably larger tank then I recommend a GT or Escondido Texas.

Well im not from the US, but i know you guys have the fluval FX5, so that or something of the equivalant, what do you have running atm??

As said above a GT, or a female feaste, a male would take down your jag, even a largish slavini, or another jag (female or male, op to what you have atm)

What Cats you got atm?? how about a poly bichir??

Shoal of Silver D's or large danios??

Any pics of your tank??

lol... wll im holding a rtc and a tsn that are still pretty small about 8 for the rtc and 10 for the tsn, and that in inches! and i just bought a ac-110 to add to my fluvel 405 and a power head for added water movement! i know im under the req turnover rate but im trying to save some cash for a bigger filter but im moving to az in may and and i was not sure if i should spend the cash for a bigger tank filter or spend it on a pond pump pond size should be 8long-6wide-3h but not sure on if i want a plywood tank so my little girl can see the fishy's

Well if i was you mate, i would hold off on any fish, spesh if u have your rtc and tsn in there, sorry to piss on your fries lol
