Got a seine net. Any tips on how to use them?

I loved seining creeks, you can catch some cool stuff. Stick the net in the ground so it will stay. Try to find an area that will act as a natural funnel into the net. Go up stream several yards and start kicking, splashing and lifting up rocks as you walk down stream towards the net. When you get back to the net scoop up your catch!

I use two sticks on the sides of the sein. If I'm by myself I roll it up so I can sein myself, if my buddy is with me he gets one side and I get the other, I'm usually the rock kicker. We also use seins to catch hognose suckers. We wait till its dark, use a bright LED flashlight, once we find one I keep the light on them then Mike slowly walks to them with the sein in the water, then I have a small net behind the fish so then the fish swims right into the sein about 75% of the time.
