I read an article about the whole highway incident on a website, and it showed a picture of a hagfish up close, without showing its mouth. The author said he was "sparing us the sight" of its mouth. When I looked up "hagfish" online and saw an image similar to this, I can see why he did that!

A shark and grouper try eating a hagfish and immediately gag on the slime.
