there is a pair of cons in there too that are about to spawn. the only other fish is a jewel cichlid and i might have to take him out. the big guys took about 4 feet of space leaving the cons with the other two and they are now taking advantage of it. the jewel has no where to go so ill bring him back to the store.
wifeys betta bowl. not sure if i want to try and breed him. bowl is 3-4 gallons with that mini filter thing and a desklamp light. the room stays at least 74 on the coldest of days and the surface area is so large i can do partial changes with cooking pots. its not a small bs bowl.
i see people using Styrofoam for the males bubblenest and they add the female in a plastic cup either in the bowl or put it in a bowl next to the male so the female builds up courage but you have to wait til he blows the bubble nest. am i right? how long do i leave her there until i have to remove. what if im not home for the spawning will he just kill her or F her up?
