Everywhere...
Here are some pictures of our fishes and fish tanks inside the office/on our desk. It made our work place a little more interesting, enjoyable, and relaxing. It all started a year ago... I had brought in a 2 gallon tank for a betta fish and now most of my co-workers have their own fish tanks on their desk...

Pic 1: Lou - Baby flowerhorn (Buster). (Mean little guy)

Pic 2: Red Fox and Arnold - Hard day at work. Red Fox has 2 tanks on her desk (guppy is her expertise) and she's been breeding/selling/trading them.

Pic 3: Red Fox - scat (Meatloaf) was 2" and now has grown over 5". (Meatloaf will need a bigger home soon)

Pic 4: Red Fox's other tank on her desk. (Guppy, shrimp, & moss balls)

Pic 5: Ed & Pretty Girl - Ed's Betta bowls & Pretty Girl's guppy tank. (Both are camera shy)

Pic 6: Red Fox - showing off her female guppy

Pic 7: Big Dave - guppy tank & a little scat. (He is camera shy)

Pic 8: Sexy Sue - guppy tank. (She is camera shy)

Pic 9: Last - my bare tank on my desk. Thinking of a planted freshwater tank or reef tank. (Camera shy too - to be continued)

coool

you guys are lucky the boss doens't say anything about power use or something.

I got flamed for having a betta in one of those marina square tanks. I was told that a bamboo in water is okay, but a betta is a 'pet' and isn't allowed :irked:

Yeah...we are lucky. The HOB (small filters) doesn't use much power I think. I guess just as long as the work gets done - the boss doesn't mind.

Sorry to hear that your place doesn't allow it. My other offices are strict, but I know of two girls that did it... (But don't try it if your work place is "strict" as it's not worth the risk).

The girls put the plants (or bamboo) in the vase where they had the betta in it. Once the plants are in the vase with the betta, no one said anything.

Some people have picture frames on their desk; some have ornaments; and some have plants... we prefer fishes / fish tanks on our desk.

haha true those little filters probably use less power than a personal fan or something.

Well done, I like the way you ignited the passion in your co-workers for this hobby.

I have a feeling if you setup a nano reef on your desk, all those guppies would have to find new homes

I would also have a feeling that somebody would lose there job, as marine uses a tad more electricity than FW

I remember having a tank at my old job. It was nice.

Thanks. All of them did not have a fish tank before...and now they all have one on their desk and in their home.

A nano reef tank shouldn't use much power. It would be awesome to have one on my desk. But...marine tanks are high maintenance and I will most likely just stick to FW.
