Was at the local Petsmart buying some crickets, and I just could not resist the urge to pic up a couple of the "Three Spot" cichlids. So what I do have,it's hard to say, maybe time will tell.

i don't trust petsmart to know wtf they have to be honest. those look like baby FHs. i was really surprised when i saw they had trimacs, but they look too suspiciously like FHs to make me want to make that investment. GL and hope yours turns out to be REAL trimacs.

They look like the real thing to me. Check Rapps' for a picture of fry.

It's sucks to not know for sure. If you want a real Trimac and buy some from Petsmart (or anywhere not isolating PS), take the time to grow them out and find out they're FH...that would suck. :irked: It's not few bucks you spent, it's the time wasted.

The ones from PS I've seen look like trimacs. Those look like little FHs.

Hard to tell looking through the bags. Show pics in the tank and they arent
stressed. But looking at them as they are I would say FH, but hard to tell as they are. Just seems to have a little to much lavender around throat area.
My Trimac did not start attaining his darker green until bout 2" or so.,

There in the quarentine tank right now, pretty stressed, just trying to hide in the corner. I'll post more pics once they liven up a bit, or once there transfered to the gtowout tank. Not too worried if they are or aren't trimacs though, just more curious then anything.

yeah petsmart is sketchy...

the ones here look like flowerhorns and the same 3 have been there since they have come in.

looks like flowerhorns to many flowers on there and there the whitish color..trimacs are green i have two young ones and they show as green and there spots arnt as noticable
