also tryin to grow these guys as fast as i can so any suggestions would be nice. and if you see anthin i can change in my setup let me know guys. yall are the professionals

get them to eat sinking or regular pellets like carnivore and food sticks thats what got my pbass growing fast

thanks! they try to eat my nls pellets but they are too big. i might get some smaller pellets for them. they like to eat stuff that is suspended a few inches under the water.
might go with nls flake food. but if you havent seen PE mysis check it out. its like mysis on steriods. they have a ton of omega 3 and a few other important things for fish growth and color

I hope you dont have those bichirs with your small 2in cichla. They will get eaten in no time!

As for growth....bump that temp up to 87. Feed em a nice varied diet that consists of mainly pellets. Go get some hikari cichlid gold pellets for now. And do water changes of 50% atleast once a week.

yall think the big bichir will get the pbass? i can move the big one into my 300.
and so i have my temp at 85 now. do i need to add a airator? i have the returns facing the surface making tons of surface movement. wil that be enough to counter the high temps?
n they are eating shrimp and PE mysis right now. im also goin to start adding zeocon to there shrimp for growth
and i would prefer to feed nls. i got some 1mm pellets but they dont even see them lol
im gunna try some 2mm if i can find them.
so there diet now is ms,PE mysis (if you havent heard of it look it up) small bits of talapia and pellets when i can get them to eat them.
water temp at 85 till i know that i can go to 87 without adding airation and im doin about 20% twice a week.
