I've never known anyone who could tell what the exact parents would be, which one's the father and which one's the mother, and whether or not the breeding is done "naturally" or "artificially". I do even think it is knowable short of approaching the farmers who produce them (for food in SA).
Moreover, the experts suspect that the fish commonly sold as TSN in the US is not a purebred. Possibly a hybrid between some kind of TSN and a Sorubim planiceps. In SA, they have all the TSNs and planiceps and who knows what else in one huge pond and let them breed and interbreed as they wish.
Your fish looks nominal... that is just like any other RTCxTSN hybrid sold everywhere throughout the states. Looks beat up a bit. Kudos for saving it.
