i am going to mix certain fish with certain turtles and it is probably going to work well. its a decent sized tanks and an african mud turtle. they aren't really going to be catching any fish unless very small and slow...

i just am not sure what fish i am going to put. im thinking more passive cichlids/barbs/loaches...

i definitely wouldnt try this with a slider though.

it would have to be fish that swim quickly, nothing large and slow that the turtle can take chunks out of in an attempt to eat

all the animals in my sig are in my 29 as im waiting for the 125 to clear up.

the loaches he cant even bother with...the knife he dosent notice...the parrot caught his attention being orange but didnt even care.

i know if i dont keep it well fed there is definitely a risk to some of the fish but on top of making sure it isnt hungry..it is a small turtle in a big space (when i throw it in the 125) and i will have driftwood and rocks etc...

its not that great of a swimmer compared to baskers...but it does swim much stronger then american mud/musks i notice and that is why i feel i couldt of picked a better turtle for my setup (even though it is ugly lol)

SLiders are good swimmers, i do know about mixing them with fish....A buddy of mine mixed his mud turtle with a breeding pair of Dovii...

some fish can even elude sliders but i know i rather not chance it. plus, they seem to be messier. i like the bottom walkers better.
