polypterus delhezi..about 3 1/5 inches...So they grow fast till 6-7 inches?

From the second pic it looks like the del is feeding well. Every fish is different but you can likely expect rapid growth (inch/month) till around the 10 inch mark where growth will minimal and slow after.

Yeah..He's got a few options of food but he seems to stalk the guppies.... Guppies,Ghost shrimp, Sinking shrimp pellets and hikari carnivore pellets, Frozen bloodworms.

I don'y like putting live feeders in there because of disease but wanted to make sure his azz eats!

Will the stripes get more defined when bigger or did i luck out ? He was the only one they had and i ditched my pretty oscar for him!

the one i got now grew fast till about 12 inches which only took like 8 or 9 months now ive had it for about 4 years and its around 13 1/2 or 14 inches long dont expect anymore growth.......... my fish always had a food supply was in a tank with my convict fry it was a 55 and he grew sooooooooooooo fast mine is also WC and female........... i have noticed most CB bichirs grow slower than the wilds under the same conditions....... dont know if urs a CB or WC.......
 
I keep trying to get a decent pic of this guy ....He likes to sit on the powerheads.
