There's lots of info in the Sticky's above about Jars. To Sum it up though they're unbelievably nasty fish. Dependin on you though that could be bad or good. Some people like nasty, with a name like Dovii Dude you probably like 'em nasty. So my guess is you'll love the little guy. He'll dismantle any fish you put with him, some can't even be kept with Pleco's. Unless you get that one in a thousand peaceful one though it's not likely from what I hear. Other important thing to note is despite being smaller than Silvers or Blacks they need remarkably large tanks. Well wider than what you would use for a Silver or Black. They're scales are larger than Silvers making them less agile and flexible, meaning they need more room to turn around. Good Luck Dovii Dude and I hope you enjoy your new Jar. Post pic's of him soon love to see him. Here's some of mine.

Well for now most of my other fish are larger than him, plus i mostly have Catfish. He already tried to start with my Pacu, but the Pacu is larger than him,the Arro backed down,my Syno Frontosus already let the Arro know not to mess with him.And so far he hasnt bothered my Cats(whew)My cats are my pride and joy!!

Great looking aro. Good luck with it.

Mine is a bit over 22" and occupies a 300g and will only tolerate my marbled pim. He will beat the hell out of anything else if I try to put it in the tank. Be careful, they "snap" over night.

80 for a 7/8 inch jar? in my place that would be too much.. i bought mine for half the price.. and even that was a bit overpriced.. lol
