Got it SOOO fast. Less than 5 working days. www.BuyDigital.com. What a service, I am impressed.

Now give me a few hours to read the manual and digest it (oh, and charge the battery :-)) and we'll be in business !

then change yer camera in yer profile :p

congrats, i'm on my way to get one soon.. not much point at the moment since taking photos while in a cast and on crutches is near impossible (believe me, i've tried)

WOW!? I thought it was going to be the Canon Digital Rebel XT? I'm sure you will be impressed with the noise handling and IF you ever get to the flash, you'll enjoy the ETTL II feature even more.

Cheers,

Now shouldn't you be concentrating on getting well? You naughty girl!

Cheers,

getting well bites benny. I've come to know the intricasies of the walls and whatever in my living room. I go out rarely, and have been pretty much sofa bound for almost a month now...

*rolls eyes*

thanks guys. Benny, I forgot to tell you what happened. It's actually quite funny. I was hoping to get $500-550 for the kit, put it on ebay and got $780 :-) So I decided to spend a little extra and got the D20. $1300 postage paid. Not bad.

I took 5 pics so far before I had to go out. On auto w/flash on, the pics looked better than my normal manual pics. I was amazed. I have tons of questions, but want to read up the manual first. I am very interested in the Temperature White Balance mode. Benny do you use that? And do you set the WB to the color of your bulbs or to the color you want to achieve. Sounds cool. I really have not looked much. I will probably start a thread w/the questions. I am excited. When I get home tonight ( i am at my sister's helping to move furniture into her new place) I will be doing some real learning.

Congratulations on the successful sale. Just like you to sneak in a couple of hundred here and there for an upgrade. A whole US$520 to be exact!

I hardly use the temperature mode as there are other considerations. Let's say you know your lights are 3500K but don't forget, your glass is tinted (green mos of the time). So, you need to adjust for this as well. At the end of the day, you may need to shoot at 4200K to balance up for the green tint on the glass. It's a bit of a trial and error initially, but as long as you don't change anything in the setup, you can safely set the color temperature accordingly and not have to worry about it. But remember to switch it back when you take people pictures.

Make sure you know what every button on the camera is for. That'll be a good start and keep you busy for about.....3 weeks.

Cheers,

Hi Paradise

How are you geting on with the new camera now that you have had it for two weeks or so?

I am interested as I will be buying one in the next couple of weeks - What lenses have you got for it? -The cheapest that I can find the camera over here is £963 including the lense (18-55mm)

How did you find the change form your old camera?

Thanks
