So I finally picked up an Ery. ery. Peru sp. Rainbow Wolf Fish today during my lunch break! I asked my local LFS guy on monday to order 1 if he had it on his order list even though I didn't know if it would be an Ery. ery or Ery ery. Peru sp. but I got a Peru sp. afterall!!

It's about 4 inches and a little shy right now. I'm sure it's had quite a hellish last 48 hours so hopefully after it settles in a little, it'll come out of it's shell. :)

I will post pics later! I'm pumped!

sweet, their awesome

Good to hear you got it. Mine was very shy and took about three weeks to feed. Now will eat anything from the smallest piece of mussel to large fish which may take a couple of days to eat, chunk by chunk. The only live food being Shrimp and Earthworms.

Really good looking fish I wish I could take decent photographs.

Get some pics up.

Thanks Messinger!

Hey Jelly!

Yep! I finally got one! I noticed that as soon as I turned out the lights last night, it was instantly on the move and checkin' out its new 'crib' lol. When I came home from lunch today to feed the rest of my fish, I put 5 rosie reds in the Ery ery. tank and it took 4 of them down immediately!! Then took the last one out as I left to go back to work :) Very quick hunter! It also began to show a little bit of personality by chasing my finger half way across the tank, but then calmed back down. I hope he gets even more responsive as he gets more and more comfortable!!!

I will try and take some decent pics this weekend. I want to pick up a black background for the tank first.

Here is a bad pic, but a pic nonetheless!!

FTS of the Ery. ery tank. All live plants (Green Rotala, Wisteria, Amazon sword, Ludwigia brevipes and a few small vals), 1 nice slab of Tiger Eye Rock, 2 Malaysian Driftwood pieces and 2 African Mopani Driftwood pieces.

You have a none Sp. peru. You have the Hyfin Wolffish Ery.ery. These guys are great fish and far less shy than the Rainbow. A great fish a real mini monster and I will be getting some myself.

Great looking tank aswell!

oh wow! Thanks for the clear-up!! Can you post a pic of your Peru sp. then? How can you tell the difference? No lateral line? Thanks for the tank compliments too Jelly :)

lol. This Ery. ery. is awesome. It is a straight up murderer. It will hunt down guppies and rosie reds, kill them, chew them up and spit them out! This morning, the tank looks like a graveyard! haha I love it! So evil for no reason. Maybe killing is a sport to it :headbang2

just take out the uneaten bits! great looking fish, like how you've designed the tank. what size is it?

Thanks for the compliments Davo. I need to clean the glass of the tank inside and out and take some pics that will do this little devil some justice! Yea, I'll suck the carcases up with my siphon when I clean the tank. :D

The tank is a 20gal long with the dimensions 30x12.5x13. It's currently residing with a shoal of 5 South American Blue Tetras and a Molly :screwy: But I DID figure that the Blue Tetras and tannin stained water would remind it of home lol. Badass is about 4.5" and loves shooting in and out of all the driftwood pieces.

However, it's VERY fascinated by the feeder cage  I already saw it kill one through the net
