Got my first Aro!

Yeah just bought yesterday and it's 6" Silver Arowana and he is doing well with 2x 3.5" Silver Dollars...
he is a healthy one and i didn't gave any food yet, i'll try tommorow..

Frnds suggest me some South American fish that i can put with my aro.. Already have silver dollars. And i don't wanna see dead fish plz...

looking good! not too sure on tank mates at that sort of size, i hera arowanas are quite fragile when juveniles soo maby just stick with tthe silver dollars for now he will be 10inchs in a matter of a few weeks!!

No tank mates until about 10 inches from what I've seen. Def no cichlids before then.

Oh yeah, growth rate can make problem while choosing tank mates..

I've already tried adding albino tiger oscar(4") and once i saw the oscar tried to bite his anal fin area and bullying, then i've removed it...

You telling that, because of 2nd pic right?
Aro is close to back glass and SD is close to front, that's why it looks like

avoid oscars they will pick on your aro. many sa cichlids will be fine depending on the size of your aro. now it should be alone but as long as you keep am eye on those dollars it might be ok.

ex i have my 6" silver aro with a peacock eel, a 6" rck and 6x 3" frontosas. i watch them everyday all day because i work at night. they are all fine. i dont recomend trying anything unless you can be there all the time to wach them until they are larger.
